New Zealand’s platinum sensation BENEE has shared the visual for her latest single, Doesn't Matter, an emotional and introspective release that casts a light on mental health, with the singer opening up and sharing her own journey.
Directed by Aidee Walker, the moving visual stars the singer alongside her guitarist Tiare Kelly, and her dog TUI. We follow BENEE as she drives towards her friends house, offering up moments of intimacy and emotion. “Doesn't Matter is about how hard it can be to explain your feelings and emotions to people. Sometimes friends just being there for you is such a help. I'm so excited about this video; it was my first shot at co-directing with Aidee Walker. I came up with the concept and she helped me bring it to life. I wanted the look of an old French indie film with a twist....and I love how it turned out." the singer shares of the visual.
Set to begin on March 20 on the Gold Coast, BENEE's 2022 national tour will continue on to Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, before wrapping up at Sydney's Luna Park Big Top on April 7. Along for the ride is Kenyan-New Zealand artist Muroki, the first artist BENEE signed to her label, Olive Records. Tickets are on sale now.
