The LIFTED Tour kicks off in Brisbane tonight!

Acclaimed Sydney producer Hayden James is hitting the road! The musician has shared with MILKY five things he always carries with him on tour as her gears up to take over Australia on his LIFTED Tour.
Kicking off at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall tonight, the run of shows will continue on to Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney, before travelling to Auckland on September 17. Along for the ride is LIFTED guest artist and collaborators Boo Seeka and Melbourne / Naarm-based producer, vocalist and DJ, Memphis LK.
James will also take to the stage at Spilt Milk in Canberra, Ballarat and the Gold Coast this November. The musician joins the line up alongside UK rap phenomenon Stormzy, English rock trio The Wombats, Flume, Ninajirachi, FISHER, G Flip, Genesis Owusu, Mallrat, Spacey Jane, A.GIRL, PEACH PRC and many more.
Serving as a message of hope at the end of a lengthy two years, LIFTED captures the electric energy of the musicians live show, inspired by his longing to return to return to the stage and create shared experiences. Threading a message of positivity throughout, songs across the record serve as a to hold on to each other through life's harder times, and to be true to yourself. Bringing together his own holy trinity of house influences, piano-house, melodic house and deep house across the body of work, the energetic collection of songs presents itself as a curated body of work that will lift your spirits.

I spend a LOT of time in airports so I try and use that time to write a couple very simple ideas while I’m waiting. You never know when you might write something that just hits. All of my biggest songs were written in a couple of hours.. the initial ideas.
TECH STUFF
I’m a big gadget guy.. I carry lots of portable HDs, 3 different types of headphones, mini synthesisers etc.. It's pretty frustrating going through security with me because I’m always stopped.

Always loaded up with a bunch of series. I’m right into ‘Succession’ right now.
120KG OF MUSIC EQUIPMENT
Yep. For my live show I have about that much to take around. It’s mostly freighted so I don’t have to fly with it but occasionally we have to fly with 16 + cases. ouch.
FACE MIST SPRAY
It’s the equivalent of having a shower.. for your face.. kinda. It just makes you feel a bit less disgusting after a long haul flight.
