YES BOONE GETS DARKER ON 'NOSEBLEEDS'

Yes Boone has spent the last few years proving he can make electronic music hit hard. On Nosebleeds, he proves he expand that palette and take his sound somewhere moodier, more visceral and unexpectedly cinematic.

The Sydney producer’s new single is a sleek collision of French-house propulsion and post-punk gloom. It’s dance music with a darker pulse; less hands-in-the-air euphoria, more 2am introspection. And then there’s the introduction of Boone’s voice: entrancing, slightly haunted and strikingly commanding, adding a whole new dimension to his sound.

“Nosebleeds is about the infatuation you feel early on in a relationship, and all the dramatic uncertainty that comes with it. There’s something theatrical about it that I’m trying to capture with the music. I wrote it during a period in London and Paris, which feels like the respective homes of the vocal style and the production choices. It took a little while to find my voice, to sing on my own tracks, and to put my own words to the music for the first time”.

That theatrical streak feels crucial. Rather than simply bolting vocals onto his production, Boone sounds like he’s stepping into the centre of his own songs. It’s a subtle shift, but an important one.

Nosebleeds arrives after Boone signed with Warner Music Australia in partnership with Warner Records US, opening the door to a much bigger international chapter. “The new music is a new and bold step for me,” he says, adding that the Warner teams have “immediately understood, and amplified what I’m working towards.”

There’s plenty to celebrate. Boone has already racked up more than 11 million streams, cracked the Top 10 in radio airplay with ‘All I Really Want’ and shared stages with Diplo, Dom Dolla and Martin Garrix. His 2025 debut EP, Best I’ve Found, established him as one of Australia’s electronic names to watch.

Nosebleeds is out now.
