Hong Kong-born/Sydney-based artist Yeloboi Tommy has dropped his new single, Trust Issues. The track follows up the musicians debut Frauds, which arrived earlier this year.
Continuing his exploration of hip-hop sounds, Trust Issues pairs the artists captivating vocals with confessional lyricism, exploring themes of deception and distrust. Built upon piano loops and thumping 808s, the track showcases another side Yeloboi Tommy and continues to introduce us to the multifaceted artist. Alongside the track, Yeloboi Tommy has shared an official visual, directed by the musician alongside Navsrevenge.
“Trust Issues represents my point of view of people being dishonest all the time with everyone else, especially with their own selves and my feelings towards the issues I have had with people in the past.” the musician shares of the track.
With his releases, the musician aims to offer conversational and vulnerable moments that challenges the archetype of a hip-hop artist, particularly within the Asian-Australian community.
