American boy band Why Don’t We have dropped their new single, Just Friends.

Written by the six-piece alongside JKash (Charlie Puth, Maroon 5), Jakob Hazell (Nick Jonas, Charli XCX), Svante Halldin (Rita Ora, Nick Jonas) and Amanda “Kiddo” Ibanez, with Jack&Coke (Nick Jonas, Charli XCX) taking on production duties, the sun-drenched release explores a friendship that begins to blossom into more.

"Just Friends is the feel-good smash of the summer! We wrote it in Miami a couple months ago and it was one of the most fun day’s we’ve ever had in the studio. The song is about the classic feeling of wanting to be more than friends with someone you’ve known for a while, and all the emotions that come with that. We hope everyone rolls their windows down and blasts this one all summer long!” the group share.

Filling the One Direction shaped hole in our lives, Why Don't We brings together Jack Avery, Corbyn Besson, Zach Herron, Jonah Marais, and Daniel Seavey. The five piece have two studio albums and six EP's under their belt, gaining over 3 billion global career streams and over 870 million YouTube views. The group have two ARIA Platinum-certified singles and have toured Australia twice, most recently in 2019.
