Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and overall Aussie legend, Vance Joy has announced the release of his hotly-anticipated third album, In Our Own Sweet Time. Alongside the announcement arrives a new taste of the record with Clarity.

Working on the album during the pandemic, the musician recalled on shared experiences with friends to fuel inspiration for the album, as well as finding new love and building a life together with someone, retreating from the world to create your own realm. On Clarity, Joy teamed up with Joel Little to create a booming, dance-worthy track that will have you grooving along.

“It’s very upbeat and poppy. Dan Wilson says if there is a song you might be a bit shy about because it feels poppy or makes you feel uncomfortable because it’s saying something really directly that’s probably the single. I got that feeling from Clarity. When we finished the song Joel said he could imagine the feel of the production – when he sent it back to me, with the full production, it just exploded.”

Kicking off in Darwin on September 17, Joy will return to Australian stages on his The Long Way Home Tour. The mammoth run of shows will continue on to Cairns, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Canberra, Newcastle, Lardner, Hobart, Adelaide and Bussleton before the musician takes to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt for two performances. The tour will wrap up on November 26 at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
