Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter upsidedownhead has joined forces with Melbourne musician Fractures on their new collaboration, make it real.
The track is a discursive exploration of differing emotions through evocative lyricism and a moving soundscape. Drenched in synthesised sounds paired with a ticking rhythm contrast, the song showcases the pristine falsetto vocals from Fractures. Building to a crescendo, the track swells into driving electronic heights.
Speaking of the release, Fracture’s shares: ”The song itself is without narrative but if anything is told from the point of view of someone struggling to tell the difference between their waking life and what they’re seeing in their mind. Almost preferring to live in that internal space. Call it turmoil if you like”.
