GRAMMY® Award winning duo Twenty One Pilots have given fans another glimpse into their forthcoming album, with the release of Saturday. The track continues the bands exploration into more pop based sounds, creating an uplifting and vibrant moment of escape and urging fans to pop on their dancing shoes and 'paint the town'.
Written and largely produced by Joseph throughout the last year, Scaled And Icy is the product of long-distance virtual sessions, with Dun on engineering duties. Adapting to their new way of creating, the duo found themselves taking on a new approach to their songwriting, allowing for more imaginative compositions and lyricism. Their new way of making resulted in eleven introspective tracks that focuses on "the possibilities worth remembering”.
The band’s first-ever Twenty One Pilots pop-up will come to life at The Camperdown Studios next Satuday, open from 12.30pm until 5pm with fans given access to exclusive merchandise only available at the pop-up shop, never-before-seen Twenty One Pilots art, hang with the DJ and be a part of an immersive interactive experience. Fans can also gain early access to the pop-up shop by entering the pre-save competition, with 50 lucky competition winners scoring access to watch an exclusive immersive livestream of the band inside the world of Scaled And Icy and gain access to the store before the general public.
If all that wasn't enough, the duo will be hosting an exclusive virtual concert, Twenty One Pilots - Livestream Experience, sponsored by Chipotle and Hot Topic. Taking place on May 22nd at 10:00am AEST, Joseph and Dun will play through a collection of songs from their entire catalogue, including their forthcoming record. Tickets for the global streaming event are on sale here, with the band has also having launched a special pre-show virtual experience for fans to immerse themselves in as they move toward the official live date and performance. If you can't make it to the store, you can still get your hands on some official merchandise, and tickets to the live performance.
