TikTok Australia are joining the FM waves! The social media platform has today launched its new radio program, TikTokTrending on iHeartRadio, as songs that have taken the app by storm have made their way up the charts worldwide. Broadcasting 24/7 on-air for the next three months through iHeartRadio, TikTok Trending will showcase all of the platforms top tracks, ranging from Lil Nas X to Fleetwood Mac and everything in between.
The station will also host a variety of programs, hosted by Australian TikTok creators as well as some of the hottest local and international music stars. Hosted by G Flip, Isaiah Firebrace, Tannar and Avneesha, the programs are set to feature not only the trending tracks, but also exclusive interviews with artists and insight into the hosts own favourite TikTok creations. They'll also shine a spotlight on non-music related trends on TikTok - including new effects, new challenges and new creators and celebrities on the platform. The back to back programming schedule comes ad free, and serves as a curated feed of all things TikTok!
Speaking of the new station, G Flip shares: "TikTok Australia have been an awesome support for me - performing at Mardi Gras recently with TikTok was one of the highlights of my career, and I'm really excited to continue my relationship with the TikTok fam with the launch of TikTok Trending on iHeartRadio! Hosting is a brand new world for me, but I'm pumped... The station will also feature a line-up of guest hosts, including popular creators, local artists and international stars, with the first guest host being none other than international platinum selling artist, and The Voice Australia coach, Rita Ora! Last year, close to ninety songs that went viral on the platform made their way into the Top 100 charts in the U.S., with fifteen of those reaching #1 on the Billboard chart.
Most recently, Australian musician Masked Wolf reached the Top 10 on Billboards Hot 100, #3 on Billboards Global 200 and #4 on the ARIA chart with a GOLD certification, amassing over 409 million Global streams to date, and reached #1 on the Global Shazam chart and #1 on US and Canadian iTunes. All of this was the result of his song Astronaut In The Ocean becoming a trending track on the platform. If all that wasn't enough, global superstar Jennifer Lopez featured the track in one of her own videos on the platform. TikTokTrending on iHeartRadio is live now! Australians are able to stream the station exclusively via iHeartRadio in a variety of ways, including on your desktop, mobile or tablet via iHeartRadio's website, on your smart devices, such as your Apple TV or your smart speaker, or on DAB+ Digital radio in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
