Singer-songwriter Thelma Plum has treated us all today with new music, a tour announcement and the news of her new EP, Meanjin. The singers new track brings the nostalgia of a Fleetwood Mac cut, with Plum's bewitching vocals floating above mesmerising melodies.

“After far too much solo time spent in lockdown, I was sitting on my balcony watching my neighbours set up this extravagant looking dinner party during a classic Brissi downpour. I was lonely and missed my family terribly. I longed to be sitting around a table with them, but I wrote “When it Rains it Pours” instead!” Plum shares of her latest single.

The singer will be hitting the road following the release of Meanjin, launching her new show on August 26 in Springwood / Gundungarra and Dharug Country. The tour will continue on to Newcastle / Awabakal Country, Canberra / Ngunnawal, Melbourne / Wurundjeri Country, Adelaide / Kaurna Country, the Gold Coast / Yugambeh Country, Brisbane / Meanjin, the Sunshine Coast / Kabi Kabi Country and Sydney / Gadigal Country, before ending at Good Day Sunshine Festival in Busselton / Wadandi Boodja on September. Tickets go on sale tomorrow!

She adds of the EP, “We all know what happened at the start of 2020 - I was in the middle of recording an album in London when the world changed and in between lockdowns and floods I kept working on music and it became apparent that I had a whole separate body of work which was a love letter to my hometown Meanjin - so here it is for you all”.

Meanjin is out August 12! Listen to When It Rains It Pours below.
