The Teskey Brothers are hitting The Forum! The Warrandyte four-piece will be taking to the stage at the iconic Melbourne venue to celebrate the release of their powerful cover of INXS' classic hit, Never Tear Us Apart. Their one night only headline show will take place later this month, on Wednesday April 21st, with Mia Wray supporting the four-piece.
Having performed the track at last years ARIA Awards, and again for ABC TV’s 2020 New Years Eve telecast, the band have released a studio version of the cover due to over-whelming fan demand. The release comes alongside an official visual, comprised of live footage performance.
Made up of brothers Josh and Sam Teskey, Brendan Love and Liam Gough, TheT eskey Brothers rounded out 2020 with a special hour-long performance alongside Orchestra Victoria at Hamer Hall. The special set saw the band collaborate with the 45-piece orchestra to bring their catalogue to life, reimagined by arranger Jamie Messenger and led by conductor Nicholas Buc.
The event followed an ARIA Award win for Best Blues & Roots Album for their #1 ARIA chart-topping LP, Live At The Forum. Amidst a 16-date sold out national Australian tour in 2019, the band undertook the arduous task of recording to analogue tape during their four-night stand at the beloved Melbourne venue. The album features songs from the band’s two revered albums, Run Home Slow (2019, #2 ARIA Chart) and Half Mile Harvest (2017), as well as a special cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’. Live At The Forum is the first live album to go number 1 by an Australian band since 1992’s AC/DC Live.
Never Tear Us Apart is out now! Watch the music video below. Tickets to their upcoming performance at The Forum are on sale now.
