Gerringong favourites The Terrys are showing a new side with their new single, Rolling Stone. The down-tempo melancholic track shifts the bands surf-rock charged gear into a more grunge-infused exploration of sound, as they explore the urgency of making hard decisions.
"We wrote and recorded this song in the same day. Emotions were pretty high in the session and the song just came out. It’s a bit slower than the rest of the album we’ve been recording (but more on that later) and definitely the most sentimental. Lyrically, the song speaks for itself.” the band share.
The Terrys are currently in the midst of their regional tour, having already performed in Dharawal / Caringbah, Budawang / Milton, Bundjalung / Byron, Keinjan / Warwick and Bunurong / San Remo. The run of shows will continue tonight in Wadawarrung / Torquay, before continuing on to Bunurong / Frankston, Wurundjeri / Belgrave, Jindabyne and Darkinjung / Gosford, before wrapping up with a performance at River Sounds Festival in Gumbaynggirr / Bellingen on August 21. Tickets are on sale now!
Last year, The Terrys announced their signing to Domestic La La, hot off the release of their debut EP, The TerrySonic Mixtape, produced by Jack Nigro (DMA's, Pacific Avenue). Helmed by Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell, the five-piece join the likes of Dear Seattle, West Thebarton, LOSER, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers and Divers on the boutique labels roster.
