South coast band The Terrys have dropped their new track, Penny, the follow up to their killer debut single, Video Games.

Penny tells the story of a friend of the band who started a short lived romance with a “foreign lady”. The band, who grew close to the woman, wrote the song to commemorate the good times they shared as friends after she returned to her home country. “She was a cool person and we felt sad when she had to go home,” the band say of the inspiration behind the track.

The track marks the bands first release with their new full time drummer, Cameron Cooper. Band members Jacob Finch, Ben Salvo and Lukas Anderson told us, “Cam’s the legend and the missing part of the puzzle. He’s so stoked to join The Tezzas family and his input on the new record Penny has already helped us evolve as a band! Big things coming.” Cooper joined The Terrys last month after taking over for the bands step in drummer, DOS ENOS vocalist and drummer Joey Winkler.

Of joining the band, Cooper returns the sentiments, exclusively telling MILKY: “Playing with The Tezzas has got to be the funnest atmosphere to be in musically. After meeting the boys down at the snow three years ago, I knew something clicked but couldn’t quite put my finger on it and now we’re making tunes together. It just seems like everything has come full circle and I couldn’t be more hyped for what’s to come!”

The band began making music together when singer Finch, and bassist, Anderson, were living in Jindabyne. The pair started writing together before moving back to the south coast with Ben Salvo moving into the same property. The three musicians soon began jamming together, shortly after forming the band.
