Brisbane/Meanjin brass-led octet The Steele Syndicate are heading into the weekend with their emotive new single, Weekend's Coming. The song serves as the title track from the groups forthcoming album, due out October 14.

Opening with mesmerising guitar melodies, Weekend's Coming is built upon driving percussion that leads to an anthemic sing-a-long chorus, heralded by an engaging a four-piece horn section. A swelling soundscape unfurls beneath Steele McMahon's raspy vocals lure you in, bringing hopeful lyricism to life, with the track exploring pushing through life's harder moments and finding joy in shared experiences with loved ones.

"The tune is a cathartic release from the day-to-day grind, and taps into the shared human experience of hard work for something important. Even in the hardest of times, what gets us through is knowing what we're fighting for. And the weekend is always just around the corner." band member Steele McMahon shares.

Having taken to the stage at Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Mitchell Creek Festival, Tablelands Folk Festival, and headlined Summer Sounds in Melbourne/Naarm, The Steele Syndicate will be hitting the road next week on an east coast tour. Kicking off in Woolgoolga on September 10, the Weekend's Coming Tour, will continue on to Coffs Harbour, Boyne Island, Cairns and Maroochydore, before wrapping up in Brisbane on November 5.

Weekend's Coming is out October 14. Listen to the track below!
