Sydney-based band The Sooks have treated us with their debut single, Motley. Having formed during high school, the four-piece are ready to take on the world, with a track that is sure to stick in your mind.
Offering the first taste of the bands glistening indie-rock realm, Motley places frontman Corey Fitzsimons' captivating vocals above ear-worm guitar melodies and driving percussion. The track explores the rollercoaster ride of growing up and pre-empting what the future holds, whilst navigating tumultuous life choices.
"Motley is our debut song and was written a couple years ago when the band were still in High School. As such, it deals with the youthful experience of growing up and the things - good and bad that come with that. The song was recorded with Callum Howell in Forbes Street Studios." the band share.
Having already cut their teeth within Sydney's live music scene, the band will return to the stage to launch the single at The Chippo Hotel on May 27. Supported by Lariska and Impostors In Chrome, tickets are on sale now
