Three time GRAMMY award-winner Lizzo is back! The platinum-selling singer has just dropped her brand new single, Rumors, teaming up with GRAMMY award-winning rapper, Cardi B. The empowering track marks the first taste of new music since the singers acclaimed third studio album, Cuz I Love You.
On the track, the singer addresses a multitude of rumours that have been floating around the internet, sarcastically confirming the rumours whilst urging fans and readers to focus on more pressing world issues. The track arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Tanu Muino. Inspired by Ancient Greek mythology, the clip could slot right in to a scene from Disney's 1997 classic Hercules, with the artists and their troupe of dancers resembling the muses.
Lizzo is set to return to the stage this September, when she makes history as the first woman to ever headline Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. The singer is also scheduled to perform at Global Citizen Live, Firefly Music Festival, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Outside Lands throughout September and October. The songstress will also perform a special headline show in her home state of Minnesota, performing at Welch, MN’s Treasure Island Amphitheater on September 11th.
Since the release of the meteoric CUZ I LOVE YOU, Lizzo has been named both TIME Magazine and Entertainment Weekly’s 2019 Entertainer of the Year, and kicked off 2020 by taking home three GRAMMY Awards, two 2020 NAACP Awards and one B.E.T Award.
