Gold Coast act THE RIOT have shared another taste of their new EP with Violence. The release arrives alongside the announcement of an east coast tour. Teaming up with producer Club Angel, the track was inspired by the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and serves as a message to embrace individuality and shun self-doubt.

“The guitar came out and Tyler and Gabe (Club Angel) went into a world of THPS. We had a few different choruses, but they weren’t feeling right. When we came up with the one you hear on the finished track we knew we had completed the song… that’s until Tyler decided he needed an extra riff at the end. The tempo change worked out perfectly and glued the song together exactly how it needed. Then JD jumped on with a 1 take freestyle at the end and the song was complete.” THE RIOT share of the track.

The duo will kick off the tour at Sydney's OAF Gallery on May 5, before continuing on to Melbourne's Bad Decisions on May 6. The run of shows will wrap up at Brisbane's Warehouse Party on May 20. Tickets are on sale now!

HAPPY TEARS! is out March 31! Listen to Violence below.
