THE LULU RAES DROP NEW TRACK ‘NOT FOR THE WEEKEND’

Sydney-based indie-pop quintet The Lulu Raes have just dropped their new sun-soaked anthem, Not For The Weekend.

The five piece have created a retro nostalgic soundscape that has an uplifting euphoric vibe. Full of hook-laden keyboard riffs and bouncing percussion, frontman Eddie Burton’s vocal performance captivates throughout. Conceptually, the track navigates feelings of anger towards someone that has moved on.

Speaking of the track, the band shared: “When this song was first being written, it was written as a middle finger to someone who had decided it was time to move on with their life. Eventually, it morphed into self-reflection, and now it’s really a peace offering to that person. Hope you’re doing well.”

The Lulu Raes have toured the country over, performing at festivals such as Falls Festival, FOTSUN and King Street Crawl, and sharing stages with the likes of Lime Cordiale, Dune Rats, DMA’s, Jamie XX and The Jungle Giants. The band will be dropping a visual for their new track in the coming weeks.
