The Flaming Lips took performing live during a global pandemic to a whole other level! The psychedelic rock band performed their 1999 hit Race For The Prize live on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The performance saw the band perform together on stage in giant inflatable bubbles.
The band went the extra mile, giving audience members their own inflatable bubbles so they could dance and enjoy the performance from an acceptable social distance. The Flaming Lips are known for using inflatable bubbles in their live shows, with frontman Wayne Coyne often crowd surfing in one.
The performance coincides with the bands recent release of The Soft Bulletin: Live at Red Rocks featuring the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The band recently dropped their new single and music video, Flowers of Neptune 6. Check the clip out below!
