Alt-pop duo THE DRIVER ERA have shared their new single, Malibu. The brother duo Rocky and Ross Lynch will bring their live show down under next month, marking THE DRIVER ERA's debut performances in Australia.
Serving as the latest taste of their forthcoming project, Summer Mixtape, the down-tempo release brings the heat of warm summer nights with its bubbling bass line and entrancing production. Ross Lynch's captivating vocals float above a simmering soundscape, as the duo recall on past experiences. The release arrives alongside an official visual, shot and edited by director Tate Warner.
“‘Malibu' is about reminiscing on experiences in the best locations," the band share.. "It's about getting away. It's the spontaneous trip you take with someone - maybe you knew them before, or maybe you're meeting them for the first time”.
Kicking off at The Triffid in Brisbane on September 23, the run of shows will continue on to Sydney's Roundhouse on September 24, before two shows at Melbourne's 170 Russell on September 25 and 26. Whilst their first Melbourne show has sold out, tickets are still available for all remaining sates of the tour.
