Having sold out the Melbourne and Sydney leg of their forthcoming Australian tour, English rockers The 1975 have added a second date in Melbourne, and upgraded the venue for their Adelaide performance
Kicking off at Red Hill Auditorium in Perth on April 8, the tour will now continue on to Adelaide's AEC Arena, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena for two stops, and Sydney's Aware Super Theatre, before wrapping up at Riverstage in Brisbane on April 15. The second Melbourne show will take place on April 11, with tickets on sale now!
Having just debuted at #1 the ARIA Album Chart, Being Funny In A Foreign Language calls back to the bands earlier records and fan-favourite tracks, whilst still pushing forward. Frontman Matty Healy is as charming and beguiling as ever, luring us in with his sometimes polished, sometimes effervescent performance, and still delivering lyrics that will rip your heart, make you laugh, maybe even ignite some flames within you. But most importantly, he is still provoking the listener into thought. There is space within the album to incite inner reflection, not just to catch up on what’s been going on in the lives of your favourite synth-pop luminaries. Perfectly curated with an effortless balance, Being Funny In a Foreign Language finds The 1975 at their very best. Read our full review here.
