Gumbaynggirr rapper Tasman Keith is kicking off the new year on a high, dropping his new single 5FT FREESTYLE alongside the news of an east coast tour. The musician has also announced his signing with AWAL Recordings and Sony Music Publishing.

Bringing an old-school vibe to the release, the taunting release takes its sonic inspiration from G-Funk beats made famous by the likes of Nate Dogg and Snoop and brings the artists signature rapid-fire bars that will have you hooked. On the track, Keith goes head to head with his opponents in the scene in some friendly competition, taking his place as one of Australian hip-hop's heavy hitters, reminding us all "they don’t make none like me."

Speaking of the track, the rapper shares: "5FT FREESTYLE is a healthy ego, but an ego nonetheless. Not only is it my moment to throw the line and test the waters but it is also an introduction to my direct, strong, and abrasive personality in the form of a beaten-up character who is rough around the edges, cheeky, and slightly playful. This character is a part of a duality of personas which is built from my personal experiences, past, and current. It is an entirely new direction in my artistry which I am excited to reveal in due time."

To celebrate the release, Keith is hitting the road on his COLOUR LIVE Tour this March, Kicking off Naarm / Melbourne on March 12, the run of shows will continue on to Eora / Sydney before wrapping up in Meanjin / Brisbane on March 25. The rapper will be bringing an all new live set for the performances, with Western Sydney rapper CG Fez joining the Sydney show.
