Tame Impala founder and frontman Kevin Parker has shared Blood Orange’s remix of his track Borderline. On the remix, Blood Orange (Dev Hynes) add his own original instrumentation to the track, enlisting Aaron Maine of Porches on drums and augmenting Parker’s original vocals.
This past Tuesday, Parker performed the original rendition of track on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Borderline features on Tame Impala’s latest full-length release, The Slow Rush. The record is the bands second #1 album in Australia, also claiming the title of the highest selling Australian alum of 2020 to date. It is also Parker’s highest charting album to date in both the US and UK, with fourteen top 10 chart positions around the world.
Earlier this week, Tame Impala received two nominations for Billboard Music Awards, placing them as massive contenders in both the ‘Top Rock Artist’ and ‘Top Rock Album’ categories. The award ceremony will take place next month.
Tame Impala's rescheduled tour will commence at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday 5 December and continue through Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
