One year on since the release of his internationally acclaimed fourth studio album, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker is celebrating the anniversary with an in depth conversation with Australian media personality Linda Marigliano, dubbed The Slow Rush: A Deep Dive with Kevin Parker, available now on Spotify's new Music + Talk feature.

Recorded at the Iconic Westlake Studio’s in Los Angeles shortly after the albums release, the conversation delivers a rare insight into one of the world’s best contemporary songwriting and producing brains. Throughout the feature, Parker shares his approach to writing, recording, production; and the sentiments and stories explored throughout the record. The Slow Rush: A Deep Dive with Kevin Parker marks the first time Parker has dissected his songs, giving fans insight into their favourite tracks.

Released last February, The Slow Rush landed Parker his second #1 album in Australia - the highest selling Australian artist album in 2020 to date. The record also marks the groups highest charting album to date in both the US and UK, and 14 top 10 chart positions around the world.

Parker will return to the stage next month with Tame Impala Sound System, the very first live incarnation of Tame Impala’s recent electronic performances as seen on US television and various live stream productions throughout 2020. Wielding their overflowing arsenal of synths, sequencers and samplers to rework and reimagine tracks from the Tame Impala discography and beyond, Tame Impala Sound System is a pulsating, fully live and organic, free-flowing digital jam out.

The performances will see Tame Impala return to the stage, after bering forced to postpone their upcoming national Australian tour for the second time. Originally scheduled to have taken place in April this year, the shows were postponed to December this year. Now, Aussie fans will have to wait another year to catch Parker’s musical project, with the tour being rescheduled to December 2021.

Following his slew of wins at the ARIA Awards, including taking home the award for including Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Rock Album, Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year, Tame Impala was recently nominated for two GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Song for the single Lost In Yesterday.
