Mornington Peninsula / Naarm-based four-piece, Sunday Honey have delivered their debut single, Old Mate Bill.
Throughout the track, the band explore the effects of mental health the importance of holding on and looking towards brighter day. Establishing their fusion of modern rock and surf rock sonics, the down-tempo release places frontman Elliot Willis' captivating vocals above nostalgia-fuelled guitar lines and shimmering percussion
"This being our debut single, it holds a very special place in our hearts. Old Mate Bill for us is a song about fighting through mental health, and finding that one thing which helps make fighting much easier. No matter how rough things can get, it’s important that we always push through and always try to find our Old Mate Bill."
Made up of Willis, Callum Johnson, Maxi Hilli and Fox DeRoche, the four-piece will take to the stage at The Retreat Hotel on July 1 to celebrate the release of Old Mate Bill, before supporting Among The Restless at Pelly Bar Frankston on July 16.
