American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sufjan Stevens has unveiled the visual for his latest single, Tell Me You Love Me. The visual sees the musician once again collaborate with celebrated director Luca Guadagnino, after working on the soundtrack for Guadagnino acclaimed 2018 film, Call Me By Your Name.
The stunning visual features subjects moving within a white space, focusing on the forms bodies make whilst cut-in shots of vibrant works by Alessio Bolzoni and Celia Hempton allow moments of contemplation.
Guadagino says: “The aching feeling of loving and wanting to be loved, the mystery of bodies that clash, the uncanny aspects of nature, the sublime music poetry and voice of Sufjan—all this went into this video that I am proud to have made with the collaboration of two more great artists, Alessio Bolzoni and Celia Hempton.”
The Ascension, Stevens' eighth studio album, was released in September on Asthmatic Kitty Records and continues to receive critical acclaim.
