Singer-songwriter Spencer Sutherland has unveiled his new single, Wonder. The release is accompanied by a stunning visual featuring actress Katie Sarife (Annabelle, Supernatural).

The compelling track builds to a crescendo throughout its duration, made all the more captivating by Sutherlands soaring vocal performance. Conceptually, the song navigates confusing thoughts the singer finds himself having, allowing listeners some insight into his creative mind as he desperately searches for the answers. Speaking of the release, the musician shared: “Wonder is a very honest song that encapsulates overthinking. All the lyrics are asking questions internally, and these are the exact questions I ask myself. -‘I wonder if I’m still myself, cause lately I’m acting like someone else’.”

Wonder is accompanied by a visually stunning music video, which sees the singer starring alongside Annabelle actress, Katie Sarife. Inspired by fashion from the 60’s and 70’s, the clip features the pair on a beach where Sutherland battles himself as he confronts all of the questions overflowing in his mind. The dream-like sequences and retro clothing are reminiscent of recent visuals from Harry Styles for tracks off his record, Fine Line. The two characters within the music video are juxtaposed, Sutherland is frantic and confused whilst Sarife is poised and collected, serving as the counterpart to the singers persona.

2020 is shaping up to be a big year for the American musician. After the release of his previous singles, Help and Too Many Friends, Sutherland signed on to star in the Netflix Original Movie Afterlife Of The Party, alongside Victoria Justice and Midori Francis. Not only will he be starring in the film, but the musician will also be writing and composing all of the original music in the film.

Based in Los Angeles by-way-of Ohio, Sutherland released his debut EP NONE of this has been about you, which saw him tour the U.S with Jack & Jack on their nationwide tour. He soon embarked on his own headline tour, The Freaking Out Tour.

Wonder is out now! Watch the music video when it premieres tomorrow at 4pm AEST.
