Spacey Jane are revisiting one of the standout tracks from their ARIA-nominated third album, If That Makes Sense. On Estimated Delivery (Magic Megamix), the band enlist Mallrat to lend her voice and subtle pop instincts. The result is less a reinvention and more a gentle recalibration, one that adds colour without clouding the original’s emotional clarity.

Mallrat’s verse lands lightly but effectively, injecting a new point of view that feels natural rather than forced. There’s no heavy-handed genre clash here; just two artists with mutual respect finding a shared space. According to Spacey Jane, “We’re huge fans of Grace (aka Mallrat) and have been lucky enough to become good friends over the last few years. She’s an amazing fit for the song and as soon as we heard her verse we were hooked. It’s always cool to see a song given a new life and it’s even better when it’s the homie.”

That easygoing friendship underpins the remix’s strength. Mallrat doesn’t overstate her presence, instead she subtly shifts the song’s focus with a new verse and a few smart production tweaks. “I love this Spacey album,” she says, reflecting on the process. “It was so fun playing with the production and writing a new verse on this gorgeous song to ratify it.”

Estimated Delivery (Magic Megamix) doesn’t try to be bigger or more dramatic than the original. It’s looser, a bit more playful, and built on trust. It works because it doesn’t try too hard, and in that restraint, it finds its charm.
