Watch our interview with Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu and Kieran Lama of Spacey Jane below!

Following the release of their sophomore album, Here Comes Everybody, Perth hitmakers Spacey Jane have treated us with a reimagined version of their track Hardlight, alongside a cover of Paramore’s The Only Exception exclusively for Spotify Singles.

“We really enjoyed putting these tracks together - it was some of the most fun we’ve had in the studio in ages,” says frontman Caleb Harper. “With Hardlight, it was cool to go back to the song and play around with ideas that didn’t quite make the album cut and approach it with fresh ears. It’s not something you get to do with your own music very often. The Paramore cover was a dream too, we tried to keep it as simple as possible, the original really doesn’t need reinvention so we just got lost in the melodrama of it,”

Tackling global topics felt throughout younger generations, Here Comes Everybody is laced with engaging moments that offer solace in the way only music can across the bands sophomore effort. We’re treated to a collection of songs that serves as a documentation and navigating tool of the anxieties, changes and perseverance experienced as you arrive at adulthood. Lush and shimmering instrumentation drive the record, creating a warm and nostalgic listening experience that feels homely through glowing melodies. With Here Comes Everybody, Spacey Jane have conquered the sophomore slump. read our full review here.

Earlier this month, Spacey Jane kicked off their national tour, having already played in Perth and three shows at Sydney's Big Top Luna Park. The tour will continue on to Brisbane and Melbourne, with the band performing an all ages and 18+ show in each city, supported by I Know Leopard and Teenage Dads.
