Perth hitmakers Spacey Jane have treated fans with the announcement of their sophomore album, Here Comes Everybody, due out this June. Alongside the news, the four-piece have shared a new cut from the record with Sitting Up.

Continuing their brand of catchy indie-rock sonics, the Konstantin Kersting produced track navigates the uneasy feelings of questioning your place in the world and hiding your true self away from those around you. Frontman Caleb Harper's captivating vocals soar above glimmering guitar work, with memorable melodies bringing the songs confessional lyricism to life.

Speaking of the record, Harper shares: "Our first record (Sunlight) discussed personal experiences of mine and it was a blessing to see how many people related to those stories. I want this record to be for youth persevering and thriving emotionally under the weight of our generational burden made up of climate change, COVID etc. Feeling like you have the responsibility of your entire future on your shoulders without any say in what happens creates anxiety and uncertainty. I think COVID took away the sense of unity that gives young people assurances in such times. I know music isn’t a replacement for taking control and galvanizing positive change, but I hope this record can soundtrack some of those moments in peoples lives.”

Spacey Jane’s 2020 debut album Sunlight peaked at #2 on the ARIA charts, with platinum single Booster Seat taking out the number 2 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100. Last year, the band took home Song Of The Year at the ARIA Awards for Booster Seat.

Here Comes Everybody is out June 10! Listen to Sitting Up below.
