Aussie legends Spacey Jane are kicking off 2021 with a massive national tour after 2020 saw the bands touring commitments go down the drain. The four-piece will be hitting the road this March-May in support of their hit debut record, Sunlight.
With tickets on sale tomorrow morning, the band will launch the tour on March 3rd in Melbourne, before continuing on to Fremantle, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Adelaide before closing the tour in Mandurah. The four-piece will also be performing sets at Wildlands Festival in Brisbane and Play On The Plains in Deniliquin.
Speaking of the tour announcement, the band share: “We're so excited to finally have the opportunity to play these songs on the road! It's been a long time since we've managed to tour Australia, and we're all rearing to go! These will be our biggest shows to date, in venues we've only dreamed of playing - see you out there”
The band have already had a great start to the year, taking out the #2 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown with Booster Seat. Three more tracks from Sunlight made the countdown, with Weightless at #81, Straightfaced at #28 and Skin placing #15 marking a momentous and celebratory day for the band. Last week, Spacey Jane lit up the airwaves with their cover of The Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun on triple j’s Like A Version, as well as a stellar performance of Booster Seat.
Tickets go on sale 10AM AEDT tomorrow, Wednesday 3 February.
