As local band Skegss gear up for the release of their forthcoming sophomore record, Rehearsal, the band have announced their collaboration with Jack Irvine, hosting an exclusive fan event and exhibition at Sydney's aMBUSH Gallery next Thursday.
The event is set to feature Irvine's original work, including pieces he has created for Skegss throughout their collaborative efforts since 2014. The exhibitions launch night will also feature an exclusive Q&A with the band, who'll be talking all things Rehearsal. The free event is ticketed, with fans able to score a ticket by RSVPing here.
With his signature psychedelia also enlisted by the likes of Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and Benee, Irvine says of the event: "I'm really excited to be showing off some paintings done in the last year. I’ve been focusing on the simple pleasures in life and finding the joy in the things around me. It’s going to be nice to hang with everyone and celebrate the new album."
If that wasn't enough, the band will be hitting the road later this month, performing a handful of album launch shows across the east coast. The performances will mark the bands return to the stage in almost a year, taking place at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on March 28, Sydney’s Factory Theatre on March 30, and Brisbane’s Felons Barrel Hall on April 1.
