Aussie punk-rock trio Short Stack have shared an acoustic version of their latest single, Burn You Down. Conceptually, the song reflects on the bands disbanding and subsequent reformation, whilst also making observations on the world around them and their place within it after a six year hiatus. The trio have marked their comeback with the release of a limited edition Burn You Down 7" recycled blue vinyl pressing, featuring both versions of the song.
“We were blown away with the reception to 'Burn You Down' and it was really exciting for us to completely reimagine the song acoustically for the vinyl release." frontman Shaun Diviney shares. We produced the track entirely ourselves in Bradie’s home studio and approached it as turning the most aggressive, heaviest song we’ve ever released into something soft and beautiful.”
Having announced their reformation in early 2020, the band were set to embark on their national comeback tour, saw multiple cities sold out in a matter of hours. With the shows being rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band continued working away on new music, signing to UNFD. Short stack will be hitting the road the road later this year, with tour dates to be announced soon.
