Multi-Platinum DC trio SHAED have just dropped their new song, No Other Way. The anthemic track was produced by the band and 2x GRAMMY Award-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid(HAIM, Vampire Weekend, Adele, Carly Rae Jepsen).
No Other Way is the first taste of the trios long-awaited debut album, due out next year. The song is a reminder to stay authentic to yourself and live in the moment. “These past 6 months have been a struggle for us all, filled with anxiety, disappointment, and uncertainty. We wrote this song as a reminder to live in the moment, which is the only thing we can control.” SHAED said of the track
The musical project of Chelsea Lee, her husband Spencer Ernst, and his twin brother Max Ernst, SHAED found their breakout track with their global hit, Trampoline. The song featured on their acclaimed EP Melt, leading to a multi-week reign at #1 on Alternative Radio, also peaking at #13 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The band eventually reached out to mega-star ZAYN, who recorded an exclusive version of the song with the band and were invited by Steve Aoki to feature on his track 2 In A Million, which also featured Sting.
With their debut record due out in April next year, the band were planning to spend 2020 touring the world, continuing the momentum they had built with Trampoline. With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing them to re-route their plans and slow down, the duo embarked on creating the record.
