Saweetie and Doja Cat are making waves with their trans-Tasman collaboration, enlisting Auckland’s JessB and Sydney’s OKENYO on the remix of their track, Best Friend. On the new version, JessB and OKENYO take over Saweetie and Doja Cat's verses, bringing their own flair to the banger.

Speaking of the track, JessB shares: “As an artist from New Zealand it is an exciting opportunity to be able to jump on a remix and collaborate with artists of a high calibre such as Doja Cat and Saweetie! Getting the girls together across the world, we love to see it." OKENYO adds “I admire all these women and regardless of location, we found a way to collaborate! The song is empowering fire and a damn right bop, I just wanted to join the party.”

JessB has been flying high after a number of New Zealand Summer Festival appearances plus her music appearing in the video game Valorant and co-hosting NZ’s first Boiler Room with Half.Queen this weekend past. She is also a member of trailblazing group BLKCITY. OKENYO is a multi-talented rapper, singer, actor and director who was nominated for an FBI SMAC Award for the visual for her song Anthropology, and recently performed at Hyde Park’s ‘After Dark’ series.

Best Friends is out now! Listen to the track below.
