ARIA-award winning poet and rapper, Sampa The Great is hitting the road! The artist has announced a string of east coast performances under her An Afro Future tour.
Kicking off in Brisbane on May 25, the musician will visit Sydney on May 28 and 27, before closing out the tour in Melbourne on June 1 and 2. The Sydney performances are part of VIVID's 2022 program, with the artists Melbourne shows included in RISING's programming.
Along for the ride is Zimbabwe-born, London-raised, Australian-based singer KYE, Sampa’s younger sister and rising neo-soul star Mwanjé and tastemaker C.Frim.
Sampa The Great took home three ARIA Awards in 202o, taking the titles of Best Female Artist, Best Hip Hop Release, and Best Independent Release for her debut album The Return. The musician has cemented her place as one of the strongest voices in hip-hop, with her upcoming run of shows surely to be an event not to be missed!
