UK rocker Sam Fender has expanded his Australian tour! The musician will return to Australian stages, bringing his sophomore album, Seventeen Going Under, to the live arena. Having sold out the entire tour, Fender has added a second Sydney show.
Kicking off at Palace Foreshore in Melbourne on November 18, the tour will continue on to Sydney's Enmore Theatre on November 22, with a new Sydney date added on November 26, before wrapping up in Brisbane on November 24 at Fortitude Music Hall. Tickets to the second on sale Tuesday August 30 at 12pm AEST.
Fender's sophomore record offered a more intense and personal approach to songwriting when compared with his debut, Hypersonic Missiles. Transforming his own life experiences into compositional works of art, Seventeen Going Under documents a coming-of-age tale, playing out across eleven tracks. Fender recorded the album in his hometown, once again teaming up with long-time collaborator, producer Bramwell Bronte.
Speaking about the record, the musician shares: "This album is a coming-of-age story. It’s about growing up. It’s a celebration of life after hardship, and it’s a celebration of surviving.” The Brit Award winners debut album debuted at number 1 in the UK album chart, and took the musician on a world-wide tour.
Seventeen Going Under is out now.
