ROYEL OTIS ARE BACK WITH 'OYSTERS IN MY POCKET'

Watch our interview with Royel Otis below!

Sydney-based dream-pop duo Royel Otis have made their grand return with Oysters In My Pocket.

Continuing their exploration of dream-pop sonics, vocalist Otis Pavlovic's mesmerising vocals float above hypnotic percussion and nostalgia drenched guitar lines. Directed by Tim Nathan, the songs visual follow the duo as they go on the run after they commit an armed robbery in an effort to feed their lust for oysters.

The duo share of the track, "'Oysters In My Pocket' is our way of showing appreciation to the bivalve molluscs that put some boost in our juice and some fire in the libido. Each one as unique as our very own fingertips. Heck don’t pass up an opportunity when you come across these suckers. Stuff them in your pockets and be the life of any party. Influenced by the yearning for a more lavish life than we can afford, and maybe The Jam. Live any life you like just don’t spell Royel Otis without Oysters. You just can’t. Give it a shot."

To celebrate the release, Royel Otis will take to the stage for two headline shows at Melbourne's The Gasometer on April 7 and OAF Gallery in Sydney on April 8. Tickets to both performances are on sale now.

The musical project of Pavlovic and Royel Maddell began upon the latter returning home after living in New York and finding himself working at a bar. Here, he had a chance encounter with Pavlovic who was fresh our of school. One night, Pavlovic showed Maddell his demos and the rest is history. Last year, the duo released their debut EP, Campus, which featured the singles Without U and Only One.
