Australian trio Requin have shared their debut album, Shark, with the release also signalling the bands farewell after disbanding in 2020. Released via 4000 Records, the album features the previously released single Rules That Won’t Be Broken.
"Shark is an album about the complexities of navigating a social environment and the painful ways human connection can degrade and unwind. The push and pull of different sounds and angles underscores this struggle and ultimate hope for consonance. This band’s existence has been nurtured and supported by the grace of generous souls." the trio share.
Throughout their time, the trio received the Lord Mayor's Innovation Award as part of the QUBE Effect in 2017, with their debut EP, The Noisy Miners Swoop Him, arriving the following year. Having toured across the country, the band also took to the stage in Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand.
