Psychedelic Porn Crumpets made their return earlier this month, dropping their new song Mr. Prism. Today, the Aussie band have shared the adventure-filled clay animation visual for the track.
The music video is a colourful journey through the fictional town of Sweetsville, a town where “you can eat anything, except the residents”. The clip takes inspiration from Alice in Wonderland and Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The protagonist, who bares resemblance to Lewis Carroll’s iconic Alice character, encounters some dark twists and turns throughout the colourful and sometime kaleidoscopic landscape.
Of the visual, frontman Jack McEwan said: “A prismatic man needs a colourful adventure, so when we were throwing ideas back & forth with Oliver it was hard to pass on an edible Claymation. All of us were in awe when he sent us through the final animation - proper cherry-on-top work!”
