Directed by Tyler Atkins and co-written with David Frigerio and Crowe, Beast follows Patton James (MacPherson), a former fighter who once looked destined for greatness before walking away from the sport. Now a blue-collar husband and father on Sydney’s outskirts, he lives quietly with a past he'd rather forget. When his brother Malon (Mojean Aria) is left broken and debt-ridden after a savage ONE Championship bout, that quiet is shattered. To avenge his brother and hold his family together, he must earn back the trust of grizzled veteran trainer Sammy (Crowe) – and step back into the cage with the reigning champion who has been waiting years to finish what they started.
Shot across Sydney, Port Kembla and during a live ONE Championship event in Bangkok in front of 10,000 fans, the film is set to blend raw fight action with a deeply personal story about redemption, sacrifice and the bonds of family. Alongside MacPherson and Crowe, the film features a strong Australian ensemble including Luke Hemsworth, Kelly Gale, George Burgess, Bren Foster, Saphira Moran and multi-platinum award-winning artist, Amy Shark in her film debut.
BEAST is now available to stream on Stan Australia.
