Aussie producer Perto has collaborated with Melbourne-born LA based singer, songwriter and producer Banoffee for their new track, I Miss You. Created in-between lockdowns in Melbourne, the uplifting synth-led ballad is the perfect track to get you grooving.

“It’s definitely one of my favourite songs I’ve written in a while and the whole energy of the session was really refreshing, especially after being in lockdown.” Perto shares. Banoffee adds: “I wrote the lyrics to express the feelings of sadness and frustration that come with having a friend in trouble. In the end we’re all helpless and support is all we can offer. ‘I Miss You’ is about missing someone who’s lost in their own web.”

Sydney-born producer prodigy Perto recently collaborated with Whipped Cream & Ravenna Golden on IDFC with his favourite flip of Kim Petras track Clairty gaining him world wide attention. With millions of streams to his names, the singer is focused on his craft, saying “I don’t pay too much attention to any of it. I just make music.”

Perto’s collaborator Banoffee brings a vulnerable approach to pop music. With infectious melodies over a hybrid of experimental club sounds and earworm pop, the singers debut album features collaborations with OPHIE, Empress Of, Cupcakke and Umru. Having toured with Taylor Swift during her reputation Stadium Tour as a touring member of Charli XCX’s band, the singer is well and truly ready to take on the world.

I Miss You is out now! Listen to the track below.
