Mexican-American singer-songwriter Omar Apollo has shared the first taste of new music since his 2020 debut album, Apolonio. The new track, Go Away, arrives just in time for the musicians forthcoming U.S. tour.

Produced by Apollo, alongside Carter Lang and Chromeo, Go Away ushers in a new era from the musician, as dreamy and scintillating synths simmer beneath the musicians soaring falsetto vocals. The euphoric track sees the singer lusting for love, wanting more quality time with the apple of his eye instead of fleeting moments. The release arrives alongside an equally mesmerising and captivating visual, directed by Jenna Marsh. The clip embodies the conceptual nature of the song, as the musician and his love interest share stolen moments before his partner disappears.

Kicking off later this month, the Desvelado Tour will be a welcomed return to the stage for Apollo, with thirty performance scheduled to take place across North America. He'll be joined by Deb Never, Maye, Sofía Valdés, and Niko Rubio on select dates and will also make festival stops at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Music Midtown. Apollo last performed in Australia early last year, with two sold-out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and sets at Laneway Festival nationwide.

With more new music on the horizon, Apollo is pushing the boundaries of his approach to creating, bringing in collaborators, and pushing himself harder than ever before. As he launches this new era of his career, the musician comments: “I used to think I wasn’t built for this because I’m just a kid from Indiana,” says Apollo. “But that thought is gone now. I know what to do. Everything just feels right.”
