Australian pop-punk outfit Offset Vision have treated us with their new single, Spaced Out.
Throughout the track, the band explores the anxieties and fears that accompany growing up in the modern world. Riotous guitar riffs and dynamic percussion run rampant below James Baker's captivating vocal performance, with the band introducing subtle electronic sonic threads throughout. Filmed on the streets of Melbourne, we follow a martian as they wander the streets, spliced in with shots of the band rehearsing and performing the track.
Having spent the past year working on new material, the band have made a focused attempt to use their music as a tool to explore the many facets of mental health, creating relatable conversations that can resonate with their audience. Influenced by the likes of The Story So Far, A Day To Remember, Counterparts and Polyphia, the group bring their own approach to the pop-punk genre, placing themselves at the forefront of the local scene.
Spaced Out is out now!
