NEW MUSIC FROM DOMINIC FIKE, ALANIS MORISSETTE, DOPE LEMON + MORE!

DOMINIC FIKE

Florida musician Dominic Fike has dropped his highly-anticipated debut album, What Could Possibly Go Wrong. The record utilises hip-hop tones paired with alt-rock sounds, creating a genre-less, colourful and sometimes nostalgic debut.



ALANIS MORISSETTE

The legendary Alanis Morissette released her ninth studio album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, marking her first record in eight years. Morissette’s lyrics still don’t miss a beat with tracks that explore mental health, addiction, sexual abuse and the expectations placed on women.



TAYLOR SWIFT

Global superstar Taylor Swift has released a new version of the lead single from her latest album, folklore. cardigan (cabin in candlelight version) is a pared back version of the track, using less instrumentation to isolate Swift’s warm and spellbinding vocals. The release is accompanied with a new music video, using behind the scenes footage from the albums photoshoot.



DOPE LEMON AND WINSTON SURFSHIRT

Angus Stone’s band Dope Lemon have collaborated with Winston Surfshirt on their new track, Every Day Is A Holiday. The song delivers on its title, creating a chilled out summer jam. Stone says the track is "about that special human you have in your life that makes you feel the warmth of the sun every time you are together. Every day you get to spend with one another is more special than the last on this magic holiday you’re rolling round on.”



EX-OLYMPIAN

Following his debut single Voices In My Head, Melbourne artist Ex-Olympian has released his follow up track, Lilac Youth featuring Nkechi Anele. The track explores the dangers of losing oneself in nostalgia and ego, trying to focus on what lies ahead as opposed to misremembering past glories.



UP LATE

u left me on read is the latest track from local five piece, Up Late. The band influence from emo, rock, pop, and rap, creating their own unique sonic sound. The tracks loud chorus is juxtaposed by intimate verses with mix of rock and hip-hop sounds. Only on their second release, Up Late are already carving their own way within the Australian scene.



LANA DEL REY

Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass is a new audiobook from singer Lana Del Rey. The fourteen poems featured in the recording will appear in the singers debut book. The recordings are accompanied with music by Jack Antonoff, who produced Lana’s latest album, Norman Fucking Rockwell. The poems explore the love and infatuation, the banalities of life, the nostalgia of the 60’s.



BASTILLE AND GRAHAM COXON

British band Bastille surprised fans this week, releasing their new single WHAT YOU GONNA DO???,featuring Graham Coxon. The track comments on screen culture and how people are not present due to their increased phone activity.



THE VAMPS

British boy band, The Vamps, have made their return with their new single Married In Vegas. The track comes from the bands album Cherry Blossom, due out in October. The song came to life remotely during lockdown, produced by Lostboy. The confident track exhibits the bands maturity in sound and comes with a chorus that will be stuck in your head for days to come.



BOOMCHILD

Aussie band BoomChild have dropped their new track, Tight Jeans. With a catchy hook mixed with RNB beats, the band have delivered their best track yet!


STAN WALKER

Former Australian Idol winner, Stan Walker, makes his return with his new track, BIGGER. The track shares the singers hope for future generations and is accompanied by a music video in which Walker’s nephew portrays the singer at a younger age.



MALUMA

Maluma has dropped his new melodious pop song, Hawái. The track dropped alongside a drama-filled music video. The Colombian singer has also announced his new album will drop later this year.



MARILYN MANSON

Marilyn Manson has announced the release of his eleventh studio album, We Are Chaos. The announcement was accompanied by the release of the title track and its music video. In a statement, Manson said the album was written prior to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Of the record, he said “Making this record, I had to think to myself: ‘Tame your crazy, stitch your suit. And try to pretend that you are not an animal’”



SAM SMITH AND BURNA BOY

Sam Smith has dropped their new dreamy track My Oasis. The song features Burna Boy and navigates the emotions of needing someone whose affections towards you seem questionable.



DJ SAMMY & CHLOE MARIN

Known for his remix of Bryan Adam’s classic song, Heaven, DJ Sammy has collaborated with Aussie vocalist Chloe Marin on his new track, This Is Who We Are. The house track touches on unity and accepting each other for who we are. The release was accompanied by remixes from Stereo Coque and Outsource.
