The singers eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, is set to arrive this March!
Global superstar Miley Cyrus has blessed us with the first taste of new music since 2020, with the release of her new single Flowers. The track serves as the lead single from the singers hotly-anticipated eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation.
The groove-laden track brings together sonic threads of 70's pop, funk and rock to create a nostalgia-fuelled subdued disco soundscape that is sure to have you dancing all night long. At times the track is reminiscent of pop icon Kylie Minogue's hit singles of the 90's and early 2000's, with its ear-worm melodies and structure. Throughout the track, Cyrus recalls on a former flame and the apprehension of walking away before finding solace in self-love. The songs official visual follows the singer as she walks through the streets of Los Angeles, before arriving home for a day of self-care and carefree dancing.
Tapping producers Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin, Mike WiLL Made-It and Tyler Johnson, Endless Summer Vacation vows to continue to showcase Cyrus' multi-faceted artistry, reflecting on the search for her own inner-strength with the singer describing the album as a love letter to LA.
Having teased fans with a countdown dubbed "New Year, New Miley" and the appearance of lyric posters across the globe, Cyrus officially announced the release of the single during Miley's New Year's Eve Party, which saw the singer perform with the likes of David Byrne, Swae Lee, Fletcher, Sia, Paris Hilton, and her co-host, country superstar Dolly Parton. The program also featured appearances from Latto, Rae Sremmurd, Liily, SNL’s Chloe Fineman, Sarah Sherman and comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy.
In 2020, Cyrus revealed a new side of her artistry to fans and watchers worldwide, unleashing her rock-based seventh studio album, Plastic Hearts. The critically acclaimed body of work debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and became Cyrus' sixth #1 album, earning the artist the most top 10 album debuts on the chart for female artists this century. Last year, the singer treated fans to a live album, ATTENTION: Miley Live. Recorded in February when the singer took to the stage at Superbowl Music Fest, the album features a bevy of hits and fan favourites from Cyrus' illustrious catalogue as well as some of the singers most iconic covers.
