R&B artist Milan Ring has unveiled her highly anticipated debut album I’m Feeling Hopeful. Alongside the release comes the announcement of the singers 2022 national tour.
Written, recorded, executive produced and mixed in its entirety by the musician in her studio, the release paints the picture of a multi-faceted being, with acute observations and thoughts on love, mental health, addition and freedom. Meandering between jazzy piano work and bewitching beats, Ring's mesmerising spoken word and sultry vocals take centre stage across the collection of songs as her vocals soar above scintillating production.
“When we allow our minds to run rampant we often hurt ourselves, those around us and those around them in the process. But in these moments we always have the choice to break through the negative dialogue and lean into love, forgiveness and gratitude,” Milan shares. “It isn’t easy, but life is a blessing and I’m feeling hopeful.”
The singer teams up with rising rapper and Malyangapa, Barkindji woman BARKAA features on Let It Glide, a confident moment that explores vanity, sexuality and confidence, which was heralded by a transfixing visual directed by Natasha Foster (Entropico) and choreographed by SelaVai. Western Sydney’s BLESSED adds his signature stylings to Sydney Hue, serving as a co-producer on the track which explores feelings of disconnection, love and loss.
To celebrate the release, Milan Ring is hitting the road! Kicking off at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on April 9, the run of shows will continue on to Brisbane and Sydney, before wrapping up in Perth on May 7. Tickets are on sale now!
