Matt Corby is back, releasing his first solo track since his 2018 album, Rainbow Valley. The song, If I Never Say A Word, continues the soulful sounds Corby is famously known for.
Corby gives a beautiful vocal performance whilst navigating the importance of choosing to hold back in particulate instances. Co-produced by Corby and Matthew Neighbour (The Avalanches, Missy Higgins), the track was intended for Corby’s next full length album with Corby stating in a press statement that "I was originally going to put it into storage until a whole new record was ready, but with the extended period off the road I was able to dive in and bring it to light.”
The release is accompanied by a music video which sees a dancer performing to the track, set in a rustic homestead in Byron Bay. The clip was directed by Madeline Johnson and produced by Coralie Tapper.
