Melbourne-based surf-rock band Majak Door have dropped their new track, Will She Leave You.

On the song, the band create a harmonious soundscape, taking inspiration from classic alternative artists including The Growlers, Mac DeMarco and DIIV. The effortlessly dreamy track encapsulates listeners with riveting lead guitar riffs, infectious hooks, a gliding bass line and nostalgic drum patterns. Frontman Frankie Vakalis gives a captivating vocal performance, creating a perfect unity between the vocals and instruments.

Adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band were able to record their music from various home studios across New South Wales and Victoria, putting to use their individual experience in audio engineering. When speaking of the recording process behind, Will She Leave You, Vakalis shares: “This track differed from the last single in that we were forced to work from home rather than in the studio. We tracked the drums at our home studio and sent each other bits and pieces to finish off our parts. This approach will now be a big part in the way we approach our recording from now on as we look to broaden our recording and mixing skills."

Having sold out shows across the east coast of Australia, Majak Door have supported the likes of Planet, The Grogans, Seaside and Merpire. The band bring a certain brand of DIY to their music, creating a space that feels familiar and inviting for listeners.

Will She Leave You is out now! Listen to the song below.
