British singer-songwriter, Maisie Peters has shared her new single, Good Enough, following up her recent single Blonde. The singer describes the track as "sister songs" that showcases her depth and multi-faceted ability as a songwriter.
“Good Enough is a song that’s really important to me”, Peters shares. “I wrote it with Dan in January of 2020, and I distinctly remember thinking it felt really special. Due to the pandemic and a whole host of other things, the song was forgotten about, hidden behind other things. Then recently, it reared its head again. Life having a funny way of sending it back to me when I needed it most. I knew I had to put it out when it felt like I could’ve written it yesterday. It’s a universal feeling but also the loneliest feeling in the world and I hope it can be as special to other people.”
Featuring the singles John Hughes Movie, Psycho, You Signed Up for This and Brooklyn, Peters' 2021 debut album You Signed Up For This proved Peters' skills as a songwriter first and foremost, as she navigates the transitional period from adolescence to adulthood. On the record, Peters navigates love, heartbreak and betrayal, whilst also recalling upon childhood memories across the collection of songs.
Peters is currently touring alongside Ed Sheeran on his mammoth + - = ÷ x stadium tour. The singer was signed by Sheeran, who added Peter to Gingerbread Man Records roster.
